Automatic Snow and Ice Sensor 12" Lead Wire
The 12" lead wire on the original sensor was too short, requiring a connection in the non-waterproof cup. When the cup fills with water, it shorts the connection, providing a high-temperature reading and preventing a snow melt call. To remedy, Uponor changed the 12" lead wire to 60'. Snow-melt Sensor 12" Lead Wire

Automatic Snow and Ice Sensor Outdoor Temperature Lockout
The original Automatic Snow and Ice Sensor used with Uponor’s Climate Cŏntrol™ Network System and Climate Cŏntrol Multifunction Controller includes an Outdoor Temperature Lockout fixed at 38°F (3.3°C). This means if the sensor reads temperatures at or above 38°F (3.3°C), the switch to activate a snow melting call will not close. Uponor removed this feature on production lots as of June 2009. Climate Cŏntrol Multifunction Controller Outdoor Sensor
The 10k sensor used with the initial release of the Climate Cŏntrol Multifunction Controller was not the original sensor approved for use with the controller. Because not all 10k sensors are the same, this led to a difference in temperatures over the mid scale.

To correct, Uponor loaded a new AIC (scale) into the Climate Cŏntrol Multifunction Controller. To learn more, refer to the Climate Cŏntrol Multifunction Controller Outdoor Sensor Technical Bulletin.

Climate Cŏntrol Multifunction Controller Snow Melt Code Issue
A coding error within the Multifunction Controller causes all devices associated with snow melt (boilers, primary pump, secondary or zone pumps, etc.) to turn on when the outdoor temperature is within the Cold Weather Cutoff (CWCO) and Warm Weather Shutdown (WWSD). Thermal Zone Valve Stem Assembly Improper Stroke Dimension
The stem assemblies on the original Thermal Zone Valves did not meet our dimension-travel requirements. To remedy, order new valve stem assemblies (at no charge). For further information, refer to the Thermal Zone Valve Stem Assembly Improper Stroke Dimension Technical Bulletin.
