Industry Professionals at MCEE Vote Climate Cŏntrol™ Zoning System Best New Product in Controls Category

The MCEE (Mecanex/Climatex/Electricite/Eclairage) tradeshow and conference in Montreal, Quebec, is one of the best and largest tradeshows for the Eastern Canadian region. The show, which was held April 8 and 9, 2009, showcased over 300 exhibitors and 84 new products for the heating, plumbing, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration industries.
Of the 84 new products featured at the show, a panel of industry professionals voted on the best and most innovative in the categories of Air Conditioning and Refrigeration; Kitchen and Bath; Piping and Accessories; Tools and Equipment; Ventilation; Controls; Energy Efficiency; Electrical; and Lighting.
The Uponor Climate Cŏntrol Zoning System was voted best new product in the Controls category, stating it “exemplified the best in innovative design”.
The Zoning System uses wireless technology for a radiant system that is more convenient to control and requires less time for contractors to set up and install. The system includes a radio-controlled base unit, an interface module and wireless thermostats. The base unit connects up to 12 thermostats and up to 14 thermal actuators, and is able to link additional base units. The interface module controls up to three base units and allows users to view and program temperatures and settings of any room from a single location. The thermostats feature a white or silver finish and can mount on a wall or sit on a stand for placement on tables or shelves to better fit with interior décor.
