Uponor has added high-density polyethylene (HDPE) corrugated sleeves to its ½" Wirsbo AQUAPEX^® tubing for use in hot and cold water distribution systems. The corrugated sleeve provides protection for installations in concrete slabs or soil, and allows for easy removal and replacement of the tubing if required. In addition, the red and blue color-coded sleeves easily identify hot and cold water lines.

 Ronald McDonald Charities of Alabama (RMHCA) recently paid special tribute to Uponor and more than 1,000 other corporate and private donors at a special Grand Opening Ceremony to celebrate the completion of its new $7 million, 33,000-square-foot facility in Birmingham.  The 41-room home for children represents one of the largest and most sophisticated applications of crosslinked polyethylene (PEX) tubing in a Birmingham project to date.  All of the PEX material, which was used for both the plumbing and space heating systems, was donated by Uponor.
