AQUASAFE® Looped Residential Fire Safety System
Uponor’s AQUASAFE® Looped is a non-stagnant, multi-purpose plumbing and fire safety system that features two-port, stainless-steel sprinkler fittings connected directly to the main loop line using ¾" and 1" Wirsbo AQUAPEX® tubing — the same tubing that supplies the home’s potable cold-water plumbing system.
Combining the plumbing and fire safety systems provides several key benefits — it verifies fresh water is available each time a cold-water plumbing fixture is used, which in turn eliminates stagnant water (and the need for check valves and backflow preventers). Additionally, combining both the plumbing and fire safety systems means only one contractor for both systems, saving valuable time and construction scheduling hassles.
The system uses Reliable® brand fire sprinklers which are connected using Uponor’s unique ProPEX® connection method. And for added peace of mind, Uponor backs the system with a 25-year limited warranty on Wirsbo AQUAPEX tubing and ProPEX fittings when installed by an Uponor-trained and certified plumbing professional.
