AQUASAFE® Network Residential Fire Safety System
In 1996, Uponor began installing its AQUASAFE® Network system — the industry’s first non-stagnant, multi-purpose plumbing and fire safety system, forever revolutionizing the way residential sprinkler systems were installed and utilized.
The AQUASAFE® system combines the home’s potable cold-water plumbing system with the fire safety system, which provides several key benefits. It verifies water is available each time a cold-water plumbing fixture is used and thus eliminates stagnant water (which, in turn, eliminates the need for check valves and backflow preventers).
Additionally, combining both the plumbing and fire safety systems means only one contractor for both systems, saving valuable time and construction scheduling hassles.
The Network system uses four-port, stainless-steel Reliable® brand fire sprinklers which are connected to ½" Wirsbo AQUAPEX tubing using Uponor’s unique ProPEX connection method. The system also comes with a 25-year limited warranty on Wirsbo AQUAPEX tubing and ProPEX fittings when installed by an Uponor-trained and certified plumbing professional.
