Transitions can be hard, but they certainly don’t have to be. Uponor is introducing several new products that easily transition Uponor PEX piping to metal or other rigid piping systems. These new fittings can be used in plumbing, hydronic piping and radiant heating/cooling systems. Here is an overview of the newest offerings:


ProPEX® brass transition fittings


Targeted for commercial hydronic piping systems, these code-listed, commercial-grade, ProPEX brass transition fittings are available in sizes from ½" to 2".

  • Transitions Uponor ProPEX connections to male thread, female thread, copper tubing sweat, copper fitting sweat and copper fitting press
  • Conforms to CAN/CSA B137.5, ASTM F877, ASTM F1960 and ASTM E84 standards

ProPEX engineered polymer (EP) opposing-port tees


Ideal for use in hydronic riser piping applications with spacing constraints, these opposing-port tees eliminate the need for additional tees and elbows to facilitate piping in two directions.

ProPEX roll-groove fitting adapters


These industry-first roll-groove fitting adapters transition Uponor PEX to direct copper tube size (CTS) or iron pipe size (IPS) connections.

  • Allows designers and installers to directly connect Uponor PEX to roll-groove fittings and couplings
  • Features Uponor’s durable, reliable ASTM F1960 ProPEX connection system
  • Provides pre-fabrication opportunities for potable or hydronic mechanical modules that can be shipped to the building site and set in place for easy connections from module to module
  • Available in 2" to 3" sizes in brass for hydronic heating and cooling applications or lead-free (LF) brass for potable plumbing applications
