If you had the opportunity to attend the International Builders’ Show (IBS) in Orlando last week, it was quite an event.

  • 80,000 attendees
  • 569,000 square feet of exhibits
  • 1,500 exhibitors
  • 160+ educational sessions

In addition, there were show homes showcasing the newest and most exciting design and technology ideas for inside and outside the structure.

Uponor put its best foot forward in its booth, creating a mock structure of a home that featured different areas for PEX plumbing, radiant floor heating and fire safety systems.

In fact, we were showcased in a Builders’ Show Review that (quite hilariously) showed the good, the bad and the ugly at the show. Check out slide 21 that states “Good: Builders don’t need fancy. Just show them how it works.” (Our booth is shown in the upper right corner.)

In addition to “showing them how it works,” we also featured some new products that are coming to market, such as the Climate Control Zoning System II for hydronic radiant floor heating applications. It’s the next generation of wireless controls that allows a system to perform with 25% faster reaction times and up to 20% greater energy savings. Pretty impressive!

So if you’re an early planner and are looking for something fun to do in the happiest place on earth (think Disney), add IBS to your calendar. It’s scheduled for Jan. 9-11, 2018 in Orlando and is sure to be an event filled with exciting new ideas, trends and technologies (as well as the good, the bad and the ugly).
